SUMMARY:Newfoundland Reunion - Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Cambridge Newfoundland Club 2018 Annual Reunion \n  \nOver the past 20+ years\, 296 has received many generous donations (typically between $1500-$2000) from the Cambridge Newfoundland Club over the course of volunteering during their Annual Reunion. \n  \nOnce again\, the Cambridge Newfoundland Club has ask us to participate in this activity which is running June 29 – July 01\, 2018.  As Canada Day actually falls on the weekend the club is expecting a lot of people. \n  \nThis is where you the parents and guardians come into play.   Together with myself and the SSC we are seeking volunteers to maintain 2 bars\, cleanup and stock the fridges. Typically the shifts are 4hrs in duration. (Schedule will be available at the 2018 Graduation Dinner 13 Jun 2018). The area that is needed for most volunteers will be Saturday June 30 from 8pm thru to 2am. \n  \nIn the past\, all volunteers have had a lot of fun and meet some very interesting people. \n  \nSend your time slot to myself or Taryn Findlay and we shall incorporate you into the schedule.  The more the merrier over this coming long weekend. \n  \nPrevious donations have gone towards the purchase of some band equipment particularly a set of bag pipes. \n  \nLooking forward to working with some old and new faces this year. \n  \nJohn

DESCRIPTION:Mandatory event for all cadets \n_________________________________________________ \nAll cadets are expected at the Preston Auditorium at 0800h. \nCome dressed in Civies.    Males will be shaved and have hair that meets standards.   Not touching ears or collar.   Female hair will meet dress standards.  Uniform will be with you\, already ironed and looking it’s best.  Details below. \nYou will be served lunch at 1130h. \nYou will have time to set up your already completed Static Displays.  this means time to set them up and put finishing touches on them. \nCadets will be changing into their uniform after lunch.  Detailed list below\, which will be checked: \nUniform – Bring with you: \nAlready ironed\, on hangars: \nPants \nTunic w tunic belt. \nShirt w slip ons. \nTie ( with your shirt or in tunic pocket) \nPolished to a high shine\, welts clean and blackened: \nBoots \nYou must also have: \nWedge \nPants belt \nCadet Socks \nMembers of the band whom have been issued Highland Kit will ensure they have the equivalents for these. \nPublic Event: \nGuests are to arrive by 1330.    A reception will follow the parade. \nReminder: \nIts important to remember that participation in the Annual Review is an important milestone for each cadet\, and is a required component of their level training.

SUMMARY:Regular Training - At Preston Arena
DESCRIPTION:Training on Wed 30 may will be held at the PRESTON MEMORIAL ARENA.  ( not at the Armoury)   This will be the rehearsal for the Annual Review – the key parade that all cadets must attend. \nDress:    Appropriate civilian clothing.    Cadets will bring with them their wedge\, socks and boots and put them on for the practice. \nNote – this week off uniform gives cadets ample time to prepare their uniform to the highest standard for the Annual Review on Sunday.    Shirts / tunic ironed.    Creases sharp.   All uniform parts accounted for   – belts\, slip ons\, etc.  \nTiming: 1815 to 2115 ( Normal Wed cadet times) \nWhile we will take a break during the evening – there will not be a break table or canteen.  We recommend cadets bring a water bottle / snack.
