SUMMARY:Re-Enrolment Admin Night
DESCRIPTION:This evening is for all RETURNING cadets and their parents to fill in paperwork\, exchange any uniform parts\, and review what we have upcoming. \nBegins at 1830.   Will  end at 2000h.  Average person will be done in 20 min. \n  \nNote – we will NOT be doing anything regarding recruiting this evening. No new cadets or interested parties need attend. We will not have time or documents for them. \nALL Returning cadets and parent/guardian will be required down on the evening of Wed 3 Sept to complete returning documentation. This will be short\, and you can depart as soon as you have been to all the stations and returned the required completed paperwork. \n  \n\nSquadron Return paperwork ( See Below)\nSSC documentation\nUniform exchanges.\nC365 support if required\n\n  \nCadets will come down in civvies. \nOne complete the stations – parents and cadets can depart. \nDoors will open at 1830h. \nWe’ll complete by 2000h. \n  \nReturn Documentation: \n  \nCadets will recieve from the Sqn Staff: \nCODE OF CONDUCT – the program has instituted a new code of conduct for all Air\, Army and Sea cadets.   ( those whom attended Summer Training are already familiar with it)   This must be completed and handed in on 3th. \n  \nVALIDATION FORM – this form contains the cadets core information\, like address.    Parents will confrim this is correct\, or write in any changes.     It also contains questions for cadets health ( has it changed) \,   dietary prefernces\, and more.      This must be completed and handed in on 3th. \n  \nMEDICAL LIMITATION Report – this form ( printed for those cadets with medical limitations from our HQ) will be stapled to the validation form\, and shows the conditions the cadet has.   Now conditions include things like ” cadet must bring prescription medication” or ” cannot sleep on top bunk’   or ” must keep epipen on person at all times”.        These limitations are a direct reference to the information given previously on the Detailed Health Questionaire ( DHQ) previously e-mailed in.           Nothing need be done with this form – however IF these limitations are no longer valid ( say the cadet no longer takes that prescription) – we can get you the DHQ to be completed to update the HQ team. \n  \nCADET INFORMATION CARD – This is essentially a print out of the cadets electronic record to date\, showing promotions\, level completion\, awards\, courses\, qualifications\, etc.       For cadets whom have incomplete items from last year –  we have highlighted those PO’s they need to address.       Nothing needs to be done unless the cadet has a concern with some form of the record.     Note – the VALIDATION Form would cover things like address changes and the like. \n  \nThe Sponsor Committee has advised they will be signing parents  up to assist with volunteer events\, and will be issuing out instructions regarding the Cadet Assessment Fee.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Purpose – To Celebrate Canada Day in the community \, to build morale and esprit de corps – we will showcase the Squadron and provide an opportunity to raise awareness of cadets. \nOutline – Squadron will rally at Preston Memorial Auditorium\, and will stand up an expanded flag party ( carrying national\, provincial\, terretorial) as well as the pipes and drums of 296 Sqn.  If numbers permit we will also carry the HUGE Canadian flat that has flown on the peace tower. \n  \nParade will end near king and Eagle. \n  \nThe squadron will then move into the park for a ceremory. \n  \nTuesday 1 Jul 2025 – \nSTART:  \nMeeting Time – 1000h. \nMeeting location: 1458 Hamilton St\, Cambridge ( Corner of Bishop and Hamilton) \n  \nBand – CI Larmond will be able to transport your music cases in his vehicle to the end point.  So drum and pipe cases will follow you to the end.   \n  \nEND PARADE  \nDismissal Time – 1230h approx \nDismissal point: Corner near Queenston and Eagle. \n( we are waiting on confirmation – a small number of cadets may be required to stick around and head into Riverside park for the opening ceremony.) \nDress: \nBlue uniform with open collar blue button up shirt.\nRank slip ons. \nWedge\, Pants\, belt\, and boots. \nBand in Highland equivalent. \n \n  \n  \nOpening Ceremony – to begin at 1300h inside park\, it should end at 1400h. \nWe are still waiting on more specific details and update on this part of the day.

After lunch\, cadets will change into their uniforms..   \n  \nParents and Guests should arrive by 1330 for the display Annual Review will begin promptly at 1400h\, and will end approx 75 min later. A reception will follow with light refreshments.  Cadets and families can depart after.   \n\nWhich uniform. \n\n\n\nThe blue one. Only the blue one. Here are the parts you need: \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\nTunic w belt\n\n\n\ndress button up shirt\n\n\n\ntie\n\n\n\nwedge\n\n\n\npants ( that have been ironed)\n\n\n\nbelt for pants\n\n\n\nsocks\n\n\n\nshiny boots\n\n\n\nnametag for that uniform\n\n\n\nslip ons on your blue dress shirt\, in case it’s hot and we take tunic off\n\n\n\n\n( this list above may be different if you are in band)
