Purpose – To Celebrate Canada Day in the community , to build morale and esprit de corps – we will showcase the Squadron and provide an opportunity to raise awareness of cadets.

Outline – Squadron will rally at Preston Memorial Auditorium, and will stand up an expanded flag party ( carrying national, provincial, terretorial) as well as the pipes and drums of 296 Sqn.  If numbers permit we will also carry the HUGE Canadian flat that has flown on the peace tower.

Parade will end near king and Eagle.

The squadron will then move into the park for a ceremory.

Tuesday 1 Jul 2025 –

START: 

Meeting Time – 1000h.

Meeting location: 1458 Hamilton St, Cambridge ( Corner of Bishop and Hamilton)

Band – CI Larmond will be able to transport your music cases in his vehicle to the end point.  So drum and pipe cases will follow you to the end.  

END PARADE 

Dismissal Time – 1230h approx

Dismissal point: Corner near Queenston and Eagle.

( we are waiting on confirmation – a small number of cadets may be required to stick around and head into Riverside park for the opening ceremony.)

Dress:

Blue uniform with open collar blue button up shirt.
Rank slip ons.

Wedge, Pants, belt, and boots.

Band in Highland equivalent.

Opening Ceremony – to begin at 1300h inside park, it should end at 1400h.
